From Concept to Clinic

An internally sponsored IRB-approved observational clinical trial (BioCytics 0001) allows BioCytics clinical research staff to collect healthy donor and patient material for downstream laboratory Research Use Only (RUO). Quality control is performed and maintained for all collected biospecimens to keep the integrity and quality of each collection. All specimens are collected retrospectively or could be collected and shipped same day per request. Samples may also be accompanied by de-identified medical data, pathological report, and an NGS, if available, if needed. Please see our project-driven biobanking link to learn about what type of samples are offered.

HAL processing specialists employ both manual and automated controlled-rate freezing processes to ensure the proper preservation of biospecimens. In addition to extensive cryostorage space, specialists can also thaw both microtubes and bagged specimens using a best-in-class controlled-rate thawing device.

Leukapheresis

BioCytics Leukapheresis products are immune cells isolated from non-mobilized Leukapheresis products and negatively selected to leave your cells untagged and ready for processing.

PBMCs

Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs) are extracted from either Leukapheresis or peripheral whole blood products. Through a meticulous processing procedure, these cells are refined to guarantee the generation of a viable and easily usable product in your laboratory.

Tumor Cells

BioCytics cultivates Tumor Cells derived from fresh core biopsies, meticulously expanding and nurturing them to meet future research endeavors. Complementary to this, supplementary tumor samples are available in archived block or slide formats, facilitating a comprehensive resource for your scientific investigations.

Tumor Matched Pairs

Custom immune cells/cancer cells matched pairs from patients with advanced solid tumor malignancies to further advance your potency research

BioCytics Urinalysis

Whole Blood

BioCytics whole blood products provide your laboratory with the flexibility to process cells according to your needs.

CTCs

Circulating Tumor Cells (CTCs) are tumor cells released from the primary tumor into the blood stream, that are notoriously difficult to identify, isolate and expand.

Patient Derived Tumor Organoids

Patient Derived Tumor Organoids (PTDO) are complex, three-dimensional structures derived from patient tumor tissues. These organoids consist of various cell types mimic the heterogeneity and microenvironment of the patient’s tumor for a more accurate representation for drug testing and personalized medicine.

Patient Derived Tumor Spheroids

Patient Derived Tumor Spheroids (PTDS) are three-dimensional aggregates of tumor cells that form a spherical shape. Spheroids are utilized for studying tumor biology, drug response, and therapeutic development in a more realistic context.

Urine, Saliva, and Stool

Urine, saliva, and stool are non-invasive specimens that can provide valuable insights into the systemic effects of advanced malignancies. Analyzing these biofluids allows researchers to investigate biomarkers, genetic material, and molecular signatures that may be indicative of disease progression or response to treatment.
